Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 1 inch fresh ginger root thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp honey

Method
 

  1. Add filtered water and sliced ginger to a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a gentle boil, then lower the heat.
  3. Simmer for 8 to 10 minutes until the water turns light golden and smells spicy.
  4. Remove from heat and strain into a mug.
  5. Stir in fresh lemon juice while the tea is hot.
  6. Add honey and stir gently to combine.

Notes

Add lemon juice after boiling to keep the flavor bright and avoid bitterness.
