Method
- Heat 1 cup filtered water to a full boil.
- Place the black tea bag in a heatproof pitcher.
- Pour hot water over the tea bag and steep for 4 minutes until deep amber.
- Remove the tea bag without squeezing.
- Stir in sugar while the tea is still hot until fully dissolved.
- Let the tea cool for 2 minutes.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the tea over the ice and stir gently.
Notes
Over-steeping is the fastest way to ruin iced tea, so keep it under five minutes.
