Hot Honey Salmon Recipe

Ingredients
  

For the Salmon:
  • 4 salmon fillets 6 oz each
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
For the Hot Honey Glaze:
  • cup honey
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce like Frank’s
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp melted butter

  • Foil
  • Small bowl
  • Spoon
  • Basting brush
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray lightly with oil.
  2. Pat the salmon dry using paper towels.
  3. Brush each fillet with olive oil using a basting brush.
  4. Sprinkle salt and pepper evenly over the salmon.
  5. In a small bowl, mix honey, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, lemon juice, and melted butter using a spoon.
  6. Stir until the glaze looks smooth and glossy.
  7. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  8. Brush half the hot honey glaze over the salmon using a basting brush.
  9. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  10. Brush the remaining glaze on top and place under the broiler for 1–2 minutes to caramelize.
  11. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the salmon rest for 2 minutes.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Reheating: Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 8 minutes, or air fry at 350°F for 4 minutes.
  • Variations: Swap hot sauce for sriracha or chipotle sauce. Use maple syrup instead of honey for a richer flavor.
  • Safety Tip: Hot honey glaze bubbles quickly—watch closely under the broiler to prevent burning.
