Ingredients

  • 12 oz Fresh Egg Noodles
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 4 Garlic Cloves finely minced
  • 3 tbsp Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce light
  • 1 tsp Dark Soy Sauce for color
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 Green Onions thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp Toasted Sesame Seeds

Equipment

  • Large Wok
  • Tongs
  • Pot for boiling water
  • Mixing bowl
  • Knife

Method

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine hoisin sauce, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce and sesame oil. Set aside.
  2. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook egg noodles until just al dente, about 3-4 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop cooking and prevent sticking.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large wok over high heat until shimmering. Add minced garlic and stir-fry for 20-30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add drained noodles to the wok and toss quickly, coating them evenly with oil and garlic.
  5. Pour the hoisin garlic sauce over the noodles and toss continuously until noodles are uniformly coated and slightly glossy.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

Toss noodles in the wok on high heat for a few extra seconds to develop subtle wok-char, enhancing flavor.
