Ingredients

  • 8 oz Wide Egg Noodles
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 3 cups Green Cabbage
  • 1 Small Yellow Onion
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Saucepan
  • Colander
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Cook the egg noodles in salted boiling water until tender. Drain well and set aside for classic cabbage and noodles texture.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onion and cook until soft and lightly golden.
  3. Add shredded cabbage and cook stirring occasionally until wilted browned and slightly sweet like traditional fried cabbage noodles.
  4. Add cooked noodles to the skillet. Toss gently until everything is coated in butter and evenly combined.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper then cook another 2 minutes to blend flavors.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Let the cabbage sit undisturbed briefly while cooking to develop caramelized edges and deeper flavor.
