- Chop bacon into 1-inch pieces using knife.
- Heat large pot over medium. Add bacon pieces. Cook 6 minutes crispy rendered using wooden spoon.
- Add sliced onion to bacon fat. Cook 4 minutes soft golden.
- Add trimmed green beans to pot with tongs. Sprinkle salt, pepper from measuring spoons. Pour chicken broth over.
- Bring to boil. Cover lid tight. Reduce heat low simmer 40 minutes till beans fork-tender collapsed.
