Dirty Horchata

A creamy dirty horchata coffee-style drink mixed with espresso and warm cinnamon flavor. Smooth, sweet and super refreshing.

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1/4 Cooked white rice
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Brewed espresso
  • 1/2 cup Ice cubes

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Coffee maker
  • Measuring cups

Method
 

  1. Add milk, cooked rice, sugar, vanilla extract and cinnamon to a blender and blend for 30 seconds until smooth.
  2. Brew espresso or strong coffee using a coffee maker.
  3. Fill a glass with ice using a scoop.
  4. Pour the horchata mixture over the ice.
  5. Slowly add the hot or cooled coffee on top and stir with a spoon.

Notes

  • Strain the horchata if you want it extra smooth.
  • Almond milk adds a classic horchata vibe.
  • Adjust cinnamon slowly. Too much overpowers the coffee.
  • Best served iced, but works hot too.
