Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Brewed espresso
  • Milk whole or oat – 3/4 cup
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp Caramel syrup
  • Whipping cream optional – 2 tbsp

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Coffee maker
  • Milk frother
  • Measuring cups

Method
 

  1. Add milk and brown sugar to a saucepan and heat on low, stirring with a spatula until the sugar fully dissolves.
  2. Brew espresso or strong coffee using a coffee maker.
  3. Froth the hot milk using a frother or blender for 15 seconds.
  4. Add caramel syrup and vanilla extract to a mug.
  5. Pour in hot coffee, then top with frothed milk. Stir gently with a spoon.

Notes

  • Lightly heat whipping cream and pour on top for extra richness.
  • Brown sugar gives that toasted sugar taste without a torch.
  • Whole milk makes it richer, oat milk keeps it smooth and lighter.
  • Want more brûlée flavor? Add extra caramel syrup, not more sugar.
  • Best served hot.
