Method
- Place a rocks glass in the freezer to chill.
- Add gin, Campari, cocoa-infused sweet vermouth and chocolate bitters to a mixing glass.
- Fill the mixing glass with cold, dense ice.
- Stir gently for 25–30 seconds until well chilled and properly diluted.
- Strain over a large clear ice cube in the chilled rocks glass.
- Express a wide orange peel over the drink, rubbing the oils along the rim, then place it neatly in the glass.
Notes
- Lightly toast cocoa nibs before infusing the vermouth to deepen chocolate notes without adding sweetness.
