  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 banana fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups
  • Spatula

Method

  1. Add almond milk to the blender first.
  2. Add oats, yogurt, banana, blueberries, cinnamon, vanilla and maple syrup.
  3. Add protein powder last if using.
  4. Blend on high for 45–60 seconds until smooth. Use a tamper if the mixture is too thick.
  5. Stop the blender, scrape sides with a spatula if needed, blend again for 10 seconds.
  6. Pour and enjoy.

Notes

  • Want it thicker? Add more frozen blueberries or a few ice cubes.
  • Want it sweeter? Add an extra teaspoon of maple.
  • For a smoother oat texture, soak oats in milk for 5 minutes before blending.
  • Add a splash more milk if blender gets stuck.
