  • ½ ripe avocado.
  • 1 cup fresh spinach packed.
  • 1 tsp matcha powder green tea powder.
  • 1 tbsp plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup optional, for sweetness.
  • 1 cup ice optional, for thick chill.

Equipment

  • Ninja Blender

Method

  1. Cut the avocado. Use a knife and cutting board. Scoop avocado with a spoon.
  2. Add liquids to blender first. Pour almond milk into the blender.
  3. Add yogurt and sweetener.
  4. Add banana and avocado.
  5. Add spinach and matcha powder. Add ice if using.
  6. Blend on high for 30–45 seconds or until smooth. Then stop and scrape down with a spoon if needed. Texture should be thick and smooth.
  7. Pour into a glass. Serve cold and enjoy.

Notes

  • Storage: Best fresh. Store leftovers in the fridge up to 24 hours in an airtight container. Shake or stir before drinking.
  • Reheat: Do not heat. If it separates, blend again with a splash of milk. Use a blender.
  • Variations: Swap almond milk for oat milk. Use 1 scoop vanilla protein powder for extra protein. Add 1 tbsp chia seeds for fiber. Use 1 tsp matcha for milder taste or 1½ tsp for stronger matcha kick.
  • Safety tips: If using a high-power blender, avoid overfilling the jar. Use the lid and hold it down while blending.
  • Health note: Matcha is high in antioxidants (EGCG) and contains L-theanine, which can promote calm alertness. Matcha also supplies a gentle caffeine boost. Limit matcha to 1–2 tsp per day depending on sensitivity.
