Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Fresh blueberries
  • 1 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Brewed espresso
  • Milk whole or oat – 3/4 cup
  • 1 tsp Waffle syrup

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Blender
  • Coffee maker
  • Milk frother
  • Measuring cups

Method

  1. Add blueberries, water and maple syrup to a saucepan and heat on medium for 5 minutes, stirring with a spatula until soft and syrupy.
  2. Transfer the hot mixture to a blender and blend for 20 seconds until smooth.
  3. Brew espresso or strong coffee using a coffee maker.
  4. Heat milk in a saucepan or microwave, then froth using a frother or blender for 15 seconds.
  5. Add blueberry syrup, waffle syrup and vanilla extract to a mug.
  6. Pour in hot coffee, then slowly add frothed milk. Stir gently with a spoon.

Notes

  • For a thicker flavor, use less water in the blueberry syrup.
  • Oat milk gives a waffle-like sweetness without extra syrup.
  • If your blender struggles, blend syrup while warm.
  • Taste before serving and adjust sweetness if needed.
